After the utter dominance displayed by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020, more cricketers have voiced their support for Rohit Sharma as India’s t20 captain.
It seems that Gambhir is not alone in his support for Sharma as former Indian batsmen Sehwag had similar sentiments.
“Ab to aadat si hai sabko aise dhone ki. The best T20 franchise in the world and the best captain in the format. Deserving winners , Mumbai Indians, koi shak. Amazingly well organised tournament despite various challenges,” Sehwag tweeted.
More cricketers jumped on the Sharma bandwagon including former England captain, Michael Vaughan. Vaughan believes that Sharma should be made captain in the shortest format of the game. This will allow Virat Kohli to focus on ODI and test formats.
“Without question Rohit Sharma should be the Indian T20 captain, fantastic man-manager and leader and he knows exactly how to win T20 games, it would also give Virat chance to take a breather and just be the player, it’s works for all other teams around the world,” Vaughan tweeted.
