Virat Kohli Teases Fans with New RCB Kit | IPL 2020

With some level of normality returning to India, Virat Kohli was quick to give cricket fans an added dose of excitement by teasing the new IPL 2020 kit. The 13th edition of the tournament will be held from 19th September. While this is fantastic news, it comes a blow for local fans as the event will not be held in India.

With social distancing measures and the lack of clarity regarding the transmission of COVID-19, BCCI had to take the difficult decision of staging the tournament outside of India. Still something is better than nothing and we will once again get to see eight IPL teams battle it out to claim the coveted trophy.

Will this be the year where the Royal Challengers Bangalore finally live up to their potential. It is difficult to believe that RCB despite having the batting prowess of Kohli have been unable to lift the trophy. Kohli however has not lifted the foot of the fitness pedal and is working tirelessly to maintain his form.

Other Indian cricketers have also taken note of Kohli’s determination and can be seen practising in multiple videos doing the rounds on YouTube. These include Ishant Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Suresh Raina and Umesh Yadav who can be seen training for their upcoming IPL matches.

While RCB have a strong batting line up, their bowling attack has failed to contain the opposition. Former India opener Aakash Chopra believes that the bigger grounds at UAE will be of benefit to RCB.
